🎞️ Caught on Film: Luton Town 1-4 Burnley

Our new ‘Caught on Film’ series will take you around the grounds of the Championship with Luton Town fan, Sarah, and her film camera.

In the first edition of the series, Sarah joined thousands of Luton fans on their return to Kenilworth Road and the Championship, for the opening game of the 2024/25 season.

I’ll be honest, I didn’t really know what to write about the film I’d taken on the first day of the season. I know social media is a microcosm of our fanbase, but considering the outcome of the Burnley match – and our apparent sluggishness in the transfer window – the emotions on social media ranged from rather glum to panic that we had only seen recently in the Graeme jones era.

Since receiving the developed film, we have announced the arrivals of Liam Walsh and Mark McGuinness - with some heavy rumours of Tom krauß being Bedfordshire bound as well. The current outlook couldn’t be more different from last week, which feels a lot more fitting for some film pics of a sun drenched kenilworth road.

Although it was a night to forget for us, I still felt like a kid before Christmas coming back into our Church for another crack at the championship. Although the stairs have had a lick of paint, you need only look at the “NO SMOKI” sign in the main stand to know that you’re home.

There have been some incredibly memorable midweek nights under the lights at Kenilworth Road - Pompey and Oxford to name just two. But I think there’s just as much magic in the old girl when bathed in sunshine to usher in a new season.

Up the town.
